Security sources say the blasts were caused by two suspected bombs, as reported by Al Jazeera – but this has not been confirmed by authorities.
Both explosions took place in a crowded marketplace in Sanak, a neighbourbood inside the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
It is understood the second blast was triggered when people started to rescue the injured ones from the first explosion.
No group has so far claimed responsibility in the suspected bomb attack.
