At least 23 people were killed and dozens injured after an Indonesian ferry caught fire off the coast of Jakarta on Sunday. The Zahro Express departed Jakarta’s Muara Angke port towards Tidung Island when it caught fire with more than 200 people on board. Rescue workers were able to save over 100 people; however search operations are underway as 17 people are still missing. The cause of the fire remains unconfirmed although reports say a generator short-circuited aboard the vessel, causing the blaze.
