Crews from Tottenham, Edmonton, Walthamstow, Stoke Newington, Holloway, Hornsey and Leyton fire stations are at the scene in North London.

And teams are rushing to Brentford to control the situation.

The recycling plant blaze is so severe that it can be seen as far away as London’s Heathrow airport.

Images show firefighters desperately attempting to douse the roaring flames with water cannons from the ground in Tottenham.

The cause is not known at this stage.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed they were also in attendance.

At least half of the Tottenham building caught fire in the blaze.

There are no reports of injuries at either site.

It comes just a day after hundreds of New Year’s Eve revellers were forced to flee a raging pub fire in Acton just minutes into 2017.
