Footage shows bottles, chairs and tables being thrown as people scrabbled for cover at the sold-out New Year’s Eve party at the city’s Sakana restaurant.
It is believed a fight broke out after the restaurant closed and drunken party-goers began throwing punches at each other.
An eyewitness told the Manchester Evening News: “The fight started in Sakana after midnight around 2am.
“Bottles, chairs and tables were flying”
“Some people got hurt a little because bottles, chairs and tables were flying.
“People said it was horrible like in a movie.
“The fight went on outside and the road was closed off by police and some guys got hurt because the fight was vile.”
It is understood police were called to the scene after the brawl spilled out onto the street.
A spokesman for the restaurant said: “The management team and all the staff at Sakana would like to extend our apologies to anyone caught up in the unfortunate events on New Years eve.
“We are working closely with the police and encourage anyone with any information to come forward.”
Daily Star Online has contacted Greater Manchester Police for comment.
This new comes after footage was captured of a huge brawl on a train which led to police arrest arrests.
