TWO beaches along the Great Ocean Road have been closed due to multiple shark sightings in the area.
Fairhaven Beach was closed at 3.26pm after a shark was spotted, followed by Thirteenth Beach just before 5pm.
Another shark sighting was reported off the coast of the Lorne-Queenscliffe Coastal Reserve.
The sightings come as the Environment Protection Authority rated 33 of Melbourne’s 36 bay beaches as “good”, and suitable for swimming.
