Fadi Fawaz, who found the tragic singer on Christmas Day, spoke to officers as they prepare a report for the coroner.
Sources revealed Fadi was spoken to by officers on Wednesday at a property in North London.
There is no suggestion Fadi has done anything wrong, and officers are understood to have questioned a number of witnesses.
Hearbroken Fadi was pictured “praying” as he returned home yesterday.
A Thames Valley Police source told the Mirror: “They will talk to all sorts of people and that will be standard so they can present a file to the coroner on the circumstances leading up to his death.
“It’s literally putting together the facts and figures about where someone was and the circumstances.
“This is standard. This is being done so that when the coroner calls the inquest, they will have all the facts before them.”
The post-mortem examination of George’s body last week proved “inconclusive”.
Investigations into the singer’s death continue after the 53-year-old was found dead at his house in Goring-on-Thames, Oxon.
The Wham! singer’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious.
