Ex-Aston Villa and Watford manager Taylor sometimes split fans with his decisions during his successful career in football.
He earned the nickname “Turnip Taylor” after his England team lost to Sweden 2-1 at Euro 92.
But today fans and players alike paid their respects on Twitter to the manager turned radio commentator after his sudden death aged 72.
