A FIRE has engulfed a bus in western Sydney causing its passengers to flee and leading to peak hour traffic chaos.
Fire crews were called to the M4 motorway close to Sydney’s Olympic Park just after 7am on Wednesday morning after reports of a vehicle alight.
When they arrived they found a white coach, thought to belong to a private operator, on fire on the M4 off ramp to Homebush Bay Drive.

There are no reports of any injuries and two fire crews remain on the scene.
According to Live Traffic NSW, westbound traffic is severely affected. Motorists are advised to reduce their speed and exercise “extreme caution”.
